Hosts Lisa Couto & Erik Peterson perform as the duo Sounded Ground , an eclectic independent musical duo from Providence, RI. Members include Lisa Couto (vocals, guitar) and Erik Peterson (vocals, piano, production.) The group was formed in 2019, when Lisa needed to put a group together quickly for the Rhode Island Folk festival. Since then, they've been writing and working on recording a full length album together. Erik is a Berklee graduate who played with many of the greats on the California coast, while Lisa has been playing live in Providence, RI and southeastern MA. Both have recorded several albums on their own, but have since come together to release music that is more powerful and greater than the sum of its parts

Charlie FARREN burst onto the national scene in the early 80’s as lead singer of THE JOE PERRY PROJECT, teaming up with Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry and releasing an acclaimed album on Columbia Records. Farren penned the Billboard charting classics “Listen To The Rock” and “East Coast, West Coast”, also co-writing four songs with Perry including the hit “I’ve Got The Rock ‘N’ Rolls Again
Long-time RI resident, Kate Mick has been strumming her banjo and writing songs for over 15 years. In 2019 she released her sophomore album Sugar in Your Teeth with "bright vocals, brilliantly contradicting melancholic lyrics'' - Angela Marandola (for WhatsUpRI). Mick is also a member of the Swampbirds.
Brian Dolzani is a contemporary singer/songwriter in the lineage of the great 60’s and 70’s storytellers: Neil Young, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, and Cat Stevens, among many others. His voice is compelling and his heart is on his sleeve, singing songs both deeply personally and culturally relevant. Brian is based in Connecticut and his latest independent record is 2021’s ‘We Are Magic’.
Bill Bartholomew is a singer/songwriter and media personality. He has been featured on NPR, Vice, Showtime, MTV, WCBS and many other platforms. He is the host of Bartholomewtown, a politics and culture podcast/commercial radio show, contributor to Rhode Island PBS, and is the curator of the monthly series Elmwood Songwriters Club.
RedFish is Stephen Redfern and Gary Fish. They write songs about the ocean, sailing, commercial Fishing and life. And they play all over Southern New England. You can hear their music on YouTube on Artist Corner. And hear Gary's Lobsters In the Woods album on all streaming stations.
Mark Cutler is a RI institution, a singer -songwriter who has been the lead singer and songwriter for The Schemers, The Raindogs and The Dino Club.
Each year Mark Cutler will lead a songwriter's workshop, then perform that very song on the Songbird stage!
