Bandshell Stage performers

 Vicki Peterson (of The Bangles) and John Cowsill (of The Beach Boys/The Cowsills) are a married musical duo who have collaborated on their debut Americana album, Long After the Fire,  featuring songs written by John’s late brothers, Bill and Barry  Cowsill. They frequently perform intimate live shows together, combining  their rich history of pop-rock harmonies. 

Welcome Tracy Bonham to our Bandshell Stage!

Bonham rose to fame in 1996 with her unique style of quirky songwriting and unrefined guitar playing. Her debut album, The Burdens of Being Upright (Island Records), achieved Gold status in the US, Australia, and Canada and cast Bonham into the global spotlight with buzz-clip status on MTV and heavy rotation radio airplay with her #1 alternative chart-topping song “Mother Mother”, an anthem for disgruntled teenagers of all ages.

Rumbanama is an explosive Latin band formed by Gilberto Rivera, featuring original and cover arrangements of salsa, merengue, bachata and cumbia.

This is definitely not your  great-grandfather's ukulele music!  The ukulele is a surprisingly  versatile instrument that's suited to almost any genre, from 1920s  "standards" to early rock-n-roll, and from country to contemporary top  40s hits.  You never know what we might play next!

The Unlikely  Strummers provide family-friendly music that will make you want to sing -  or dance - along! No matter what your age, we'll leave you smiling! 

Anchors Away is a brass band
covering a range of songs from multi-
era pop, to funk, to Balkan disco. 

They hail primarily from Rhode Island
and formed in 2024 with the goal of
traveling the world to celebrate music
making and learn diverse musical
styles. They recently performed at
HONK! in Rio de Janeiro. 

Now returned home, they're looking
to gig locally... until they ship off
again. 

They're also pirates.

 Festival regulars Dan Lilley and  Amy Bedard will be playing their rock & roll to get you up on your feet!

   With decades of experience in historical re-enactment, McNiff offers a  compelling portrayal. A former National Park Ranger at the Roger  Williams National Memorial in Providence, he has spent years researching  the era and educating audiences. In addition to his historical work,  McNiff has a background in acting, production, and stage combat  instruction, making his performances both informative and engaging. 

 We are so happy to be able to present Free-folk enigma Gary  Higgins in 2026, after a Covid scare prevented him from playing the festival last year.

Gary Higgins entered the popular consciousness more than three decades after his music career ground to an abrupt halt when the reissue of his 1973  cult classic, Red Hash, became a cause célèbre in the summer of 2005. 

From his love of country, bluegrass, and traditional folk music, Tyler Seton has  been a singer-songwriter since 2014, taking his life experience and  travels to write songs about love, loss, rebellious behavior, and  struggles with life and addiction.  

Mark Cutler is a RI institution, a singer -songwriter who has been the lead singer and songwriter for The Schemers, The Raindogs and The Dino Club.

Each year Mark Cutler will lead a songwriter's workshop, then perform that very song on the Songbird stage!

Anthony Loffredio is a well known RI artist who has lead his band Barn Burning for over a decade. Joining him is cohost Kim Petrarca.

 Kim Petrarca is a singer-songwriter based out of Providence, RI. She was  involved in the local New England music scene for over ten years before  she moved to Nashville to pursue her dream.  She has recorded and  released three EPs, a country single, an original holiday track, and  most- recently, a single after her move back east.
